Banana Pudding

3/4 Cup Sugar

2 Tablespoons Flour

1/4 Teaspoon Salt

2 Cups Milk

3 Eggs Separated

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

6 Bananas

1 Box Nilla Brand Vanilla Wafers


In sauce pan cook 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt and milk until thickened. Beat egg yolks into mixture, stirring  rapidly as you add the yolks making sure not to allow the yolks to harden . Cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and set aside.


Slice bananas into 1/4" thick discs and layer into small baking dish alternating with vanilla wafers and previously prepared pudding mixture. Continue until all items have been used. 


In mixer beat egg whites and remaining sugar until stiff peaks are present. Spread egg whites mixture over top and bake at 350 degrees until whites begin to brown.


Remove from oven and serve hot or cold.
